  Before time even existed as a human concept, Beelzebub existed alongside two other demons, Satan and Leviathan, all three angels that had fallen for committing a grave sin. He had a very prestigious title, and was well respected, even feared, by underlings and colleagues alike. But no title quite satisfied him, even after changing and collecting them however he wished – somehow, even demanding his full title be Lord of the Flies, Prince of Demons and False Gods, the Patron of Pride, Emperor of Hell wasn't enough to satisfy his ego. He staged a full revolt against the very framework of Hell, attempting to overthrow Satan's rule over all of it. Beelzebub's attempt ultimately failed, although he had definitely upset the order of things. There was a long judgement period where no one was quite sure what to do with him, as even demons valued the close bonds shared with him that were eons in the making. There was also an undeniable truth - Beelzebub was simply good at what he did. He had a natural way of carrying himself that made lesser beings follow his orders.
  
  Eventually, a decision was made. Beelzebub would not be executed, but his power would be sealed. For something like him, this was eventually proven to be a fate worse than death. Now stripped of almost all of his power and left only with his title and ranking, he became somewhat of a laughing stock in the elite circles of Hell that he made himself so comfortable in. For millenia he sat in his meaningless throne in Hell until he decided he could no longer bear being nothing but a punchline. Beelz' salvation from his humiliation and boredom came in the form of being accidentally summoned. He was granted permission to walk on Earth on the condition of not being allowed to kill anyone. Beelz brought his three-headed hellhound dog, which splits into three Samoyed puppies at his convenience. Their names are Amon, Naberius, and Mara; two males and a female respectively.

  Beelzebub's personality is nebulous and hard to define. It is ever changing and this makes him pretty unpredictable. Since his summoning, he'd taken a liking to Japanese culture to the extent of his appearance being that of a Japanese person. He likes expensive food, clothes, reading manga, rap music, and playing guitar. He somehow works what, from the outside, seems to be an obsession with the occult into his span of interests. In a similar vein, he likes to appropriate religious symbols for the sake of aesthetic, and to top it off, he self-identifies as Catholic. Drinking is his biggest vice and he's not afraid to experiment with harder substances. Beelz doesn't like technology and is very resistant to being taught anything new if he can't figure it out on his own. Despite this, he assimilated pretty flawlessly into "Tumblr kid" culture, and might be that demonkin you saw on a cringe compilation yesterday.
  
  Beelz doesn't seem to fear much, but still only really picks on people he knows couldn't best him in a fight as he's not very capable of self defense. Beelz is notoriously bad for not picking up on tone or the general mood of any situation. Quite a lot is retained from being "the patron of Pride." Forget him respecting anyone's authority, he treats anyone above him like more of a joke than he is. He still acts as though he should be revered. His behavior is alien in comparison to that of a human's, but it's easy to brush off the weirdness as social anxiety.

  • Beelz' blood is black, regardless of the form he takes. If you were to rip him open and part the squishy bits - which is totally a possibility considering his ability to regenerate - you would find that his organs are the same. His bones, however, are strikingly opalescent.
  • He can't seem to decide how he wants to present himself. He likes hypebeast streetwear, but usually ends up looking like a mall goth instead. Hot Topic reliably has cross jewelry that doesn't burn him, so Beelz may as well be one. Taken by the super trendy looks of the Middle Ages, sometimes he looks like a pirate instead. Or a vampire.
